PROJECT SUMMARY
The planned construction of the METRONET Morley-Ellenbrook line presented an immense technical challenge, being Perth’s largest public transport project since the construction of the Mandurah Line in 2006. Project plans included the delivery of over 21 km of new rail between the existing Bayswater Station and Ellenbrook, including the construction of 5 brand new stations. Large elements of the Project were delivered by the Tonkin Gap Alliance to enable the rail to travel in the centre of the Tonkin Hwy. TGA awarded CATS the scope to construct the track slabs through the southern and northern dive structures enabling the installation of the rail.
