RESPONSIBILITY

In The Community

At CATS, we believe success isn’t just about the projects we deliver - it’s about the impact we make beyond the job site. We are committed to giving back by supporting local clubs, cultural organisations and industry initiatives that make a real difference.

From sponsoring grassroots sports teams and celebrating Irish heritage to backing industry programs that promote inclusion, mental health awareness and Indigenous employment, we’re proud to play an active role in the communities where we live and work.

Our partnerships reflect what we stand for - inclusion, opportunity and connection. Whether it’s through sponsorship, employment programs or industry engagement, we’re always looking for ways to support and uplift those around us.

  • Mental health and wellbeing are vital in the construction industry. Our advocacy for MATES in Construction is part of our ongoing commitment to promoting mental health awareness and providing essential support to workers facing challenges.

Over the years, we’ve directed employees to MATES in Construction when they needed support, and we recognise the importance of raising awareness and reducing stigma around mental health. As we continue to grow, we look forward to finding more ways to get involved and contribute to the incredible work they do for workers and their families.

  • At CATS, we recognise the importance of Indigenous cultural awareness and the role it plays in building a more inclusive and respectful industry. We had the opportunity to take part in cultural awareness training with the Spear Foundation, and it reinforced just how vital their work is in promoting understanding, reconciliation and meaningful change.

The Spear Foundation provides education and training to help businesses and individuals engage with Indigenous culture in a way that fosters respect, inclusion and long-term impact. As we continue our own journey of learning and growth, we acknowledge the value of Indigenous knowledge, traditions and contributions in shaping our communities and workplaces.

  • Creating opportunities and supporting Indigenous employment in the construction and rail industries is something we are passionate about. The On Track Program plays a vital role in providing training and employment pathways for Indigenous Australians, helping to build skills and long-term careers in civil construction and rail.

We are proud to have employed individuals from this program, giving them the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop their careers within our team. Programs like On Track are essential in strengthening workforce diversity, supporting Indigenous participation, and ensuring the industry benefits from a skilled and inclusive workforce.

  • As the peak body representing the civil construction industry in Western Australia, CCF WA plays a vital role in advocating for businesses, improving industry standards, and providing professional development opportunities.

At CATS, we are proud to support CCF WA through regular sponsorship of corporate events that bring together industry leaders, contractors and stakeholders. These events help drive innovation, strengthen industry connections, and support the ongoing growth of the civil construction sector in WA.

Our involvement with CCF WA reflects our commitment to not only delivering quality work but also contributing to the broader industry and ensuring a strong, sustainable future for civil construction.

  • St Gabriel's Hurling & Camogie Club
Over the past few years, we’ve been proud to support this Perth-based club, which provides a home away from home for Irish expats while also introducing the great games of hurling and camogie to a wider community.

    Cottesloe Rugby
Our commitment to community sport has recently expanded with our sponsorship of Cottesloe Rugby Club. As one of Perth’s well-regarded rugby clubs, Cottesloe fosters talent, teamwork and a strong sporting culture - values that align closely with what we stand for at CATS.

    The Academy Irish Dancing School
Culture and community are at the heart of what we do, and The Academy Irish Dancing School is a shining example of both. As one of Perth’s premier Irish dancing schools, The Academy fosters a deep connection to Irish heritage through dance, discipline and tradition.

We are proud to sponsor events that support these talented dancers as they showcase their skills and represent Irish culture in Australia. By backing The Academy, we celebrate the strength of the Irish community abroad and help keep these traditions alive for future generations.
